Potenza Cycling Club
was established in 2007 to provide an
environment to promote safe cycling and bring cyclist of all
abilities together. We believe that developing cameraderie is
essential to develop the "power" to attain heath and fitness goals.
While developing cameradie to stay
focused on personal goals, Potenza encourages community reinvestment
by participating in local charity events. In 2007 over $10,000 was
raised for Breast Cancer Research and over $8300 was raised for
Multiple Sclerosis.
Our goal in 2008 is to develop riding
skills, participate in local charity events, and see the Southern
region of Italy from two wheels!
We have two riding groups on all
scheduled rides to accommodate riders of various skill levels:
-
POTENZA EASY ROLLERS:
Slowest and easiest category - shorter routes,
leisurely pace, mostly-flat terrain, plenty of rest stops. Mix
of road bikes and hybrids. NO-DROP POLICY APPLIES.
-
POTENZA PACESETTERS:
Medium pace, moderate difficulty, longer routes, fitness pace,
some challenging hills, some rest stops. Participants are on
road bikes.
Please check the website for ride locations. Rides may be cancelled with short notice due
to inclement weather. A note will be posted on the website.
